Well, we bring this same feeling of fun and pleasure to your table with Mediterranean Organic™ foods – singing with the flavors of the Mediterranean.

It’s like eating sunshine!

The Mediterranean is a magical place stretching from Italy, Spain, Greece and Turkey dotted with the beautiful islands of Sardinia, Corsica, Malta... These are exotic lands, ancient in history, civilization and agriculture. The soils are fertile and rich in minerals much of which comes from the action of the volcanoes over centuries. The climate is hot and dry and swaths of farmland are watered from deep wells. These are the conditions that make for ideal organic farming, and this is why we value the produce grown there.

We hear so much in the U.S. about the "Mediterranean Diet" and how good it is for us – well, that’s because it is! It’s no surprise that the people of the Mediterranean Basin live long, healthy lives based on their diet rich in fresh olive oils, fruits and vegetables.

And the influence of the sea is everywhere.

The hilly terrain of areas like Calabria – the toe of Italy’s boot - and Anatolia in Turkey, are famous for their hand-grown and harvested produce. Calabria, for instance, is separated from the rest of Italy by mountains, so from the earliest history the farms were small and the products hand-tended. Anatolia is equally hilly with small farms on which peppers, tomatoes, capers and other Mediterranean crops were grown in a natural traditional way.

Olives are a key part of the healthy Mediterranean diet. The many varieties of our aromatic Mediterranean Organic olives come from Greek olive groves, some of which have been in continuous production for over a thousand years. It is said that the goddess Athena gave the olive to mankind as a gift. So we bring this gift home to you.
